Roddey Dowd

Roddey Dowd raised $14,680 in his 2020 Boston Marathon effort for the Hopkinton Public Library!

My wife, Spencer, and I are originally from Charlotte NC, but we are living in Cambridge for the year while she completes her Master’s in Education. Although the year is flying by, we are trying to make the most of it by experiencing all we can in New England. This past fall, we ran the Cambridge Half Marathon and loved the experience. The race opened my eyes to the fantastic running culture in the greater Boston area and inspired me to continue running. The more I learned about Patriot’s Day and the Boston Marathon, I knew it was a challenge I had to tackle. We are fortunate that the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation is giving me the opportunity to run Boston 2020. I am excited to help raise money for Hopkinton Public Library and keep the Patriot’s Day traditions alive (now, for the first time, being celebrated in September).
